Edge Weather
Anybody else watching the radar trends. Moderate precip has broken out about 50 miles to the west and south of DC. This was not showing up on any model at this time frame, except possibly the WRF-ARW.
snywx
Pretty nice unanimity in measurement among the four North Shore Suffolk towns. Its amazing what little wind does to snowfall reports.. Overall pretty consistent throughout the tri-state..

Manny
Just went out for a quick run, and I have to say the snow cover is just simply beautiful. Having some sort of snow cover over the last 2 weeks has been nice, and I expect it to continue.

LHSnow
Probably around the same - measurements were very difficult because we have a lot of open land there was no level snow on the property,. How much did you get in LH during the blizzard? I estimated 16" here in N.Syosset, but with the wind I never really did get a good final measurement. LHSnow
The LIE and in many cases Route 25 seems to be important demarcation lines. A little bit of elevation and distance from Ocean seem to make a big difference some times. Glad to see you here. Yes, this area is usually one of the last to change over, when temps are marginal on LI..

I ran 2 miles which is short compared to what I usually run. I had about 2 inches here as well, but with the existing snow cover from the blizzard looks like way more, and the fact that it was wet snow- the trees just look amazing in the light. *Duality wrote the quote. Edge Weather
The eastern half of south Jersey now is .5-.6 for tomorrow's storm. With the northern extent of accumulating precip being about Rt. 80 to NYC. The .5 extends as far north as about 20 miles north of Trenton to almost Staten Island. The .25 gets as far north as about 20 miles north of Trenton to about Staten Island and the .1 goes to about Rt. 78 and NYC.

Man, the NAM is REALLY close to another decent snow for the Metro. another 20-30 miles NW jog with the precip and another 2-4" is in the cards. Id always rather be on the northern edge of these things, than the SW side.
Manny
Seems like the NAM developed this closer, and instead the inverted trough lifts more north to NYC, similar to the Euro's depiction.

Yeah, I definitely agree....the NAM only gives my area in Westchester like 1", but this is the type of situation that can trend towards more favorable easily. jm1220
NAM keeps snow going on LI for quite a while tomorrow, well into the night. This could be a surprise "little biggie" for many on LI if the trend continues for some who got hosed today. 0.5" not far at all from the south shore and trending toward us.
