weatherdude888
Just a small questions regarding my location here in Staten Island: I often find then the snow totals vary considerably between what the news reporrts and what central park (KNYC) reports. We are fairly close to Newark, so is it better to use KNYC or KEWR as an analog for Staten Island -Matthew
Absolute Humidity
Got about 2" in Skillman (At work). Hi Isotherm, any accumulation in MC yet? It was dry as a bone at 8am. Despite crappy radar returns, still think we could sneak out an inch?

psv88
Ever since i moved from western suffolk to central nassau i noticed what a snow hole it really is...a few flurries in garden city, this area never hits the jackpot, whereas western suffolk very often did
RevWarReenactor
Surprised at these 3 inch amounts in "Central NJ". This is a non event for Monmouth County. Light snow, but nothing is sticking. Not even to the cars. Way too warm. Might be sticking to the old snow, but that's about it.
friedmators
2 inches in warren,nj. Radar says its about to be over for today.
Stormlover74
Snow started in my area by 5, 530 so it stuck to everything initially. I'd imagine with temps getting near or above freezing that won't be the case unless it comes down heavy Surprised at these 3 inch amounts in "Central NJ". This is a non event for Monmouth County. Light snow, but nothing is sticking. Not even to the cars. Way too warm. Might be sticking to the old snow, but that's about it.
psv88
This event is such a joke on the island...will these heavier snow bands even stick?? I think the snow pack is even melting some today...
whiteoutwx1796
Its snowing almost moderately here in bayside and its not even sticking to sidewalks. Streets are all wet. This next wave coming in now should coat all surfaces.
Isotherm
Got about 2" in Skillman (At work). Hi Isotherm, any accumulation in MC yet? It was dry as a bone at 8am. Despite crappy radar returns, still think we could sneak out an inch? Surface temps have been too warm for any accumulation thus far. We've now fallen from 34 to 32.7 here, so maybe we can sqeak out an inch on the backend. But either way, tomorrow looks a lot more interesting for us. I guess we'll have to concede the jackpot for this event.
NorthShoreWx
It has started flurrying here now. A good looking band is setting up about 20 miles to my west.
