earthlight
Euro seems much less suppressive with the heights along the east coast through 78 hours, and also much more involved with the energy coming in from the Pac NW as well. We will see where this goes but early signs are good.
earthlight
96 hours surface low over LA, juicy as well. Big snowstorm for Arkansas at that time frame. Heights are rising fairly dramatically along the east coast.
earthlight
552 dm heights nearing DC at 102 hours--very similar to the GFS in that regard. We will see what it does with the energy out west and the important interactions there.
earthlight
It's definitely a little slower and less enthused with the energy over the Northwest traversing towards the Plains..which may come back to bite us as the storm may slide east a bit this run. yoda
hr 108 has a sub 1008 low over southern ala...energy in the west is digging better than 12z...hgr hgts along the east coast...50/50 low in good postion...s/w continues stronger..deep south getting a sig winter storm
earthlight
At 114 hours there's a broad 1012mb surface low across the Southeast coastal states (FL/GA/SC). Heights are higher and more amplified compared to 12z, but it seems to me that it's just a hair off compared to the GFS which phases in energy from the west over the Plains and back towards the Arlatex and then tugs it towards the coast. earthlight
Yup, it barely misses the phase at 126 and it slips out to sea. The precipitation doesn't get north of South-Central VA. It's much closer than it's 12z run, and is likely headed in the right direction, but this run itself does not bring the surface low up the coast. In fact it goes out to sea by a good margin wide right.
