Ji
should probably wait for the run to get farther...we get hit hard according to earthlight i knew it was coming north..there was alot less northern stream energy tonight to squash the storm

stormtracker
Beautiful run. Classic track. I would have rather it showed up on Friday's runs because you know GFS will lose/bring it back about 3 times from here on out and people will panic/rise
pojrzsho
Another interesting 5 days ahead.....and this time no last minute Christmas shopping and family gatherings to inhibit model run viewing! : - ) Just gorgeous for Va from 126 to 144!! Dr No
Break out the swimming trunks in Pt. Barrow? Thats incredible if modelled correctly.
PhineasC
Finally a low that curls back off Hatteras and tucks in off the MD coast. The last few stinkers have always swung too wide.

Dr No
There should be a decent shot of a storm around the 15th too... in the breif relaxation preceding the advance of the next cold shot.

Wow
It's all snow in CLT (1.25" QPF) and a massive ice storm for upstate SC and N GA. Not every storm that tracks up the coast is "I-95 RIC to BOS" Looks like I-95 RIC-BOS
NaoPos
nice run indeed. The broad trough is really keeping the energy a bit strung out, hence not closing off untill offshore of NJ. Definately not gonna complaing with that run.. "I do forseee it coming to be a monster sun 970mb low, h5 closed off 5x's because thats what i think will happen"

baroclinic_instability
Wow interesting run. Another potential phase EC event. This one will be another hard one for the models to handle with another migratory cutoff low transitioning into an open wave.

Agree 100%...timing with that cutoff is going to have this thing modelled all over the place 5 times before it actually happens. Grab your heart medicine. Not every storm that tracks up the coast is "I-95 RIC to BOS" I meant I-95: RIC to BOS As you know, CLT, north Georgia, and upstate South Carolina aren't on 95. Snowmizer
Yeah...I know its the 18Z dgex...but there's amazing similarity in the track, evolution and precip shield with the 00Z GFS.
