CTWeatherFreak
Very erect and circumcised penis of enhanced qpf from just W of NYC up to and beyond SYR at 42 hours. Snowing in all of SNE save for the Rev to ginx to the cape. Whoops.. there it is again.. better get that Mohel back!
CoastalWx
Lol, over 1.5' on the NYC area from the inverted trough. That's more a zucker crusher right there.
Baroclinic Zone
There's so much forcing from the energy to our west the inverted trough essentially becomes a lp e of cc Now is the ULL fast enough to capture?
dryslot
A little snow for ME thru 66, but nada here. Awful for me. I'm going to need some major help from the ULL. Thats ugly, Most of NH and VT is in a snow hole, Looks like its trying to form a low in the GOM if we can get it to pivot NW you could be ok........ Clinch Leatherwood
Now is the ULL fast enough to capture? Look how much stronger the s/w is on this run as it approaches us. Much stronger and it won't matter, we'll get nailed as it rolls by and I'd really have to think it would slow some regardless (if this strengthening trend continues). Very positive. Tropopause_Fold
PV digging nicely to the se at hr 66. Could go on as light snows with that ul feature still to the west and apparently making a move se
ORH_wxman
The run definitely trended into trying to turn the inv trough into a CCB type feature Verbatim I kind of get shafted while SW CT and SE MA get hammered...but I do like the trend. weathafella
Decent event on the NAM. Lollipops of 6+ but who knows were. This run says SW CT, Dobbs Ferry, maybe parts of SE MA, and we'll see about ME.

weathafella
Whoops.. there it is again.. better get that Mohel back! I think in this case the Mohel was there......8 days after the model showed the storm for the 1st time.

It's trying hard to capture the low, or at least spread light snows into sne at hr 72.

Ian
i started a general model thread since people have been asking where they went and there should be one with storm threats, this is just a heads up to those in this thread

nutmegfriar
All of coastal CT looking ok. Fairfield County looks like it's in the cradle again.
Baroclinic Zone
It's trying hard to capture the low, or at least spread light snows into sne at hr 72. Would be nice. Depending upon if and where that occurs, you'd get some nice onshore flow.
CoastalWx
Man if that low in the GOM is about 40 miles further south....

CoastalWx
Would be nice. Depending upon if and where that occurs, you'd get some nice onshore flow. It's trying. This is run is more south than previous runs wrt the PV. Nice solution imo.

It really seems to be struggling with the idea of an independent CCB like it had at 12z and this type of solution where it hints at one developing but it then blows it up as it morphs the trough into it. Would be the craziest verification ever but I'll take 5-10" down here.

Clinch Leatherwood
The meat and potatoes of this storm occurs as the developing 8h low slides just south of LI and we have a nice easterly inflo. As soon as it passes you see the precip cutoff at 57-60 and then it takes up shop NNE of Race Point for many hours. I would have to think that this trend will continue and the 5h feature coming off the coast spawning this will be stronger. Where that puts the low(s) ultimately I'm not sure, but I hope it's somewhere south southeast of us.
