moneypitmike
NO they don't. In fact a lot of people are getting the shaft as these big changes roll through but we're not always talking about your picnic table. Look at the 18z on NAM for instance in Maine..just a wee change. That said there's more hope and change going on here than at an Obama rally 11/08. And how'd that turn out for ya?
weathafella
GFS has NYC and northwest and north up to Logan and then out to just east of SYR having decent snow by 18Z tomorrow...24 hour prog.

HoarfrostHubb
I love how all of the HUGE CHANGES every run result in the same general 2-4" over 2-4 years. Well years might be a stretch, but it will be pretty low snowfall rates... I will be happy with 3-6"
Clinch Leatherwood
that should be a red flag ..... LOL. NAM approval ratings hit all time lows around 257pm today. Nam gives them an inch if lucky unless you're in western areas which few posters are here. Yep. For my immediate area it's 3rd storm or bust. Someone else can sit around counting flakes that fall over 2-4 days as Ray said. GFS not dramatically different for a change.
40/70 Benchmark
Sit back. This one will be impossible to decipher until nowcast. Funny that some guidance hinting at another inverted trof from the Miller A next week. I think I've had enough of these... Oh please, please, please no.......I can't stand these things; nothing but a giant headache that culminates in alot of just that.....nothing. I'd rather it just whiff and leave us be. Clinch Leatherwood
GFS potentially creating more space for this last feature. Trough appears to be somewhat displaced NE, low not quite closed off yet in TN by 24ish.
Clinch Leatherwood
Low is heading through NC through 36....at least it didn't drop it Tough def displaced NE this run vs last run at the same point in time.
wokeupthisam
Right now i'd settle for 3-5" I'd consider 3-5" a gift. Nowcasting will be fun with this one, can't wait til tomorrow so I can start watching the radars more than the models.
weathafella
GFS is going to hit areas including most of the MA...and this is inverted trof. Does have 992 broad area of MSLP probably centered just west of HSE. 36 hours decent snow into BOS after having the inverted trof move some decent snow through NYC, REV, etc....everyone in SNE west of the canal. Clinch Leatherwood
Ray's right though...in the end most end up with 2-4. That first batch is blown through with hte .25 line way in western areas. It's 1-3" for most for round 1 Moisture increased this run deep down through 36, low is a little closer to the coast and a mb stronger.

40/70 Benchmark
Ray's right though...in the end most end up with 2-4. Right.....It's pretty clear that regardless of whether the PV queefs as opposed to farting on any particular run, not much changes regarding what the vast majority should expect.....I think a general 2-4" over the course of 24+ hrs is locked. Fine with me......won't melt anytime soon.
Damage In Tolland
I think a general 3-5 inches is most likey with the banded areas getting 7-8..maybe 10 in a lolli 1st batch is when much of this will fall..and with high fluff factor
Clinch Leatherwood
GFS slaughtering the trough slowly with each run as the offshore low becomes more important. Congrats Delmarva, they get more snow than most of us. EDIT: still trying to rotate up later...
