Warm and Wet 2010

Based on preliminary statistics from the Midwest Climate Center, 2010 was the second wettest on record for Minnesota going back to 1895 and the ninth warmest on record. The average statewide precipitation was 33.44 inches, which is 6.15 inches above the 1971-2000 normal. The average statewide temperature was 43.0 degrees F, which was 1.8 degrees F above the 1971-2000 normal.

The wettest location in the state found so far was Wabasha with 49.92 inches of precipitation, 17.60 inches above normal.
