georgiawx11
What the heck is the FFC smoking down there? I mean seriously? 1-2"?? Is their one model today that only showed 1-2" in Metro ATL???? :arrowhead: Yeah 1-2" over a 1-2 day period they say. Great snowfall rates lol. Seriously though, I can't believe I'm actually upset at a forecast of 1-2" of snow. I guess all these snowstorms lately have really spoiled us. georgiawx11
This from BMX : FORECAST SOUNDINGS ARE VERY CLOSE TO ALL SNOW...WHICH WITH MODEL QPFS OF BETTER THAN 0.75 INCHES COULD SPELL ALMOST 8 INCHES OF SNOW IN SOME PART OF CENTRAL ALABAMA...BUT THE PROBLEM THAT ARISES IS THESE SOUNDINGS ARE ACTUALLY SHOWING FREEZING RAIN...AND 3/4 OF AN INCH OF ICE WOULD BE CRIPPLING SOME TYPE OF FROZEN PRECIP IS GOING TO FALL SUNDAY AND MONDAY. CONFIDENCE IS HIGH ON SOMETHING FROZEN FALLING...AND WHATEVER IT IS...A LOT OF IT..
raine
How much IMBY? Aiken, we may never know, you know how are local mets are.. We could be having a blizzard and they would be forecasting 70 degrees and sunshine. Our weather forecasting is totally screwed up since it does come out of Columbia SC. I always come on here for my weather, but Augusta Ga gets left out some, so I try and follow as much as I can. Hopefully no work on Monday!!!!
