magpiemaniac
Every time I see daculaweather, I read draculaweather. Every single time. I was going to mention that. I do the exact same thing.
SnowNiner
I love me some foothills, but I swear, every single model run, he says the H5 setup is looking better and better, but the QPF and thermal fields keep looking worse and worse. I love his optimism, and I know he knows a heck of a lot more about this than I ever will, but I just can't see how things are trending better. Does not compute. Does not compute. Ditto. Brick Tamland
Yes. A winter storm watch is to alert the public that winter-storm conditions are possible. Which fits the current situation. You know if we don't get anything, though, the public is going to look at this as a big fail and say the weather folks were crying wolf, and won't believe them the next time. lilj4425
Trust your instincts. What are they telling you? To get naked, rub oil all over my body, and run outside singing the Star Spangled Banner.
Sluggo
Yes it does. It 100% does. I'm going with the NCDOT white pe-treat lines as my model....if NCDOT keeps the brine trucks in the corral, then The Triangle will see a significant ice event on this run. jburns
Yeah, this is part of the reason why I am confused and don't know who to believe. Foothills is probably 250 miles away from you. About the same distance as southern NJ. See the problem?

Jet Stream Rider
The local mets in NC saying that moisture will deamplfy while moving east. Looks good in TX tho Indeed. Well we can see the feature here on water vapor. I'm not so sure its going to deamplify as much as they think. But we shall see in time. I'm probably wrong. Yes they will. The public is gullible when it comes to snow and everything else for that matter. That's why there's never any bread or milk on the shelves when snow is in the forecast. And so what if they don't believe next time? How does that hurt you exactly?

Cold Rain
Well, this has been the most fun I've had with this storm. I'm gonna call it a night. I need to rest up so I have plenty of energy to watch the models take away more of my QPF tomorrow. You all have a good evening.
