i think there are some red flags for the eastern lakes and OV

from lake ontario on south, i would defintely expect light-mod accumulations with this event, with possible further trending.

I hope you are right. Toronto needs to add to our current 6cm snowpack that we got with yesterdays clipper

WFO Downsview thoughts for southern Ontario...

IN THE LONGER RANGE..THE WEATHER REGIME WILL BE CONTROLLED BY A
HUGE ARCTIC RIDGE BASICALLY EXTENDING SEWD FROM THE BOSS OF ALL
ARCTIC HIGHS OVER THE YUKON. APART FROM SOME RESIDUAL LAKE EFFECT
FLURRIES IN NWLY FLOW SUNDAY IN SRN ONTARIO SNOW BELTS..LOOK FOR A
TRANQUIL PERIOD INTO MONDAY ACROSS THE ENTIRE PROVINCE. FOR TUESDAY
WE ARE KEEPING AN EYE ON WHAT COULD BE A POTENT SYSTEM PASSING WELL
SOUTH OF THE GREAT LAKES. WITH THE JET STREAM WELL SOUTH OF THE
GREAT LAKES AND THIS ARCTIC AIR MASS BEING..WELL..HUGE IN AREA..AND
LOOKING AT CMC AND NCEP ENSEMBLE MEMBERS TO CONFIRM..IT APPEARS THE
SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION WILL STAY TO THE SOUTH OF THE LOWER GREAT
LAKES. HOWEVER A DEEP AND CHILLY CYCLONIC NELY FLOW SHOULD SET UP
LAKE EFFECT FLURRIES OFF OF LAKE ONTARIO INTO AREAS AROUND THE WEST
END. HENCE HAVE KEPT MENTION OF FLURRIES FOR SRN PARTS OF SRN
ONTARIO TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. LARGE ARCTIC RIDGE REASSERTS ITSELF
BY MID WEEK RESULTING IN A SPELL OF BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES
BEFORE WHAT COULD BE AN INTERESTING SITUATION DEVELOPING ON THE
FOLLOWING WEEKEND.

I'm pretty sure this was the model that 7 days out, took the Feb 2009 "non-bomb" straight north out of the Gulf through Lk Michigan. Harry you remember that, or was that a different storm?

I don't recall? It has had it's hits and misses too. Don't know why i always forget it is there. :lightning:

Yes that would suck. Would not surprise me though. :lightning:

geezus...if I get missed to the nw after watching this thing shoot too far south and east for the last 6 days i may become a troll on steroids. My first target will be DT over at the other forum (you know what im referring to Harry  ). My second target will be the i-95 weiners who trolled me for dare suggesting it could come far enough north to put me in the game in the first place.

j/k...but that would suck...but nothing this winter surprises me anymore....nothing.
