Zeus
What a **** show this thread turned into lol Reported it; hope it will be cleared out soon. Euro gives those of us NE of HFD to the coast a solid 3-6 or 4-8..That's what I'm talking about If I normalize out your optimism, that sounds like a dusting to two inches for most of SNE. Zeus
If more than .50 melted qpf means a dusting to you..well then I digress I generally get the impression 0.50 liquid equivalent means 6-8 to you; I'm shocked at your assessment if that's the actual gist of the QPF. dryslot
I'd say 12" is off the table....JMHO. It is, But a few folks which had the Norlun over them showed that it was possible to see a foot, It was off the table as far as i was concerned yesterday, It was more for all that are arguing totals when nobody really knows who is going to end up with anything... cpickett79
from the heavy snow HPC .....although written last nite YET ALL GUIDANCE EXTENDS A TROF THROUGH THE DELAWARE RIVER VLY WHERE SFC CONVERGENCE COUPLED WITH THE UPR DYNAMIC SHOULD FOSTER MDT SNOWFALL FOR THE NRN MID-ATLC THRU LWR NEW ENG AND SRN NY. GFS IS THE STRONGEST WITH THIS FTR BUT CANNOT BE DISCOUNTER OUTRIGHT... SO IT WAS BLENDED WITH THE MORE CONSISTENT ECMWF AND UKMET TO ACHIEVE A STRIPE OF 6-8 INCHES IN SRN NY/NORTHEAST PA/NRN NJ. the 12z models shifted that area NE except the 12z ukie which concurs with the overnite HPC as far as screwing SNE and getting NYC with a plowable stripe. so lets see if the trend continues with shifting the QPF out of the NYC area.......and over ORH over the next 12 hours... or so to what i hear is a more climo oriented solution. although i don't know if the set up would argue a deviation from this is likely. Clinch Leatherwood
Lol, not if it's over the span of 2 days. Through hill snow physics it actually becomes 8" in that situation. I think we can toss the OP GFS. I'm looking forward to seeing the 18z

Clinch Leatherwood
Great to hear you'll be at the GTG...you can't be all that socially inept I'll be skiing with the family out of a slopeside condo versus drinking in Worcester and then driving home for 90 minutes. I guess it's about what you think is cool/fun. Absolutely no offense to anyone but I'd much rather ski with my 3 year old for the first few times than sit at a bar. Besides these plans were made a month ago. NAM is rolling.
