Until there's some consensus that this is going to be a run-of-the-mill low-end warning event I'm going to remain hopeful that it is something larger than that.

lol...the 500mb set-up on the 00z euro and the 12z NAM were 78-esque...this isn't too far from being huge...the chances are it won't get there, obviously.

I'm with you. What's wrong with a few inches of freshening powder. I'll just be happy if it covers the grass and doesn't get blown away....
