So lets january comes in at -11....that would be considered a brtual January for our area even though our highs 28-32 would not be considered brutal for most people. I think you are expecting highs in the teens which would be a whopping 20 degrees below normal! This tends to frustrate me. Ok, if 30 degrees for the high is 11 below the average, so be it....However, people will say we were 11 degrees below average on our temps. That isn't true without considering the low temperature too. When we talk about how much below (or above average) a day really is, it considers both the highs and the lows.
