Stormpc
dont think so.. just went back and read the old thread to verify. the ggem/ukmet were a huge bomb but north / east of us toward sene / maine etc. it wasnt like they had nothing all the time or were just tiny waves going east. feel free to peruse yourself.. it's funny, you see almost the exact same comments from the exact same people in the exact same range. http://www.americanw...t/page__st__540 Funny, very similar weenie-isms from last time. Good catch. It's a funny read. Do it for a few pages then come back to this thread. 100+ hrs and a near miss. Still exciting enough. Let's see what happens. We'll be doing this till Monday morning anyway.

Are you saying that before the models became used, that no maps like that were ever made? Intelligence? Could they end up right? Sure. But are they right at this time? No. Show me a model as of today's runs that shows this outcome. That map is wishcasting at its best.

WxUSAF
That map looks recycled from some sort of classic nor'easter textbook example. The one thing the models do agree on (now) is the deep south will likely see big snows. That map shows none of that.

WxUSAF
Mapping skills notwithstanding, read the article that goes along with the map. The article basically parrots the map. Talking about ice for Richmond and Atlanta and snow only for the "interior South", which apparently means TN and KY. Keep swinging...
