One thing i was thinking of here is because the low is a bit deeper when it passes is that a bit more cold air will be brought in helping out ratios in some places. Sure if you stick a ruler and measure...but cmon.. There is a lot of desperation in here over a half inch or so. An inch, two inches, three?
