Snowfall averages over the years, especially this year it seems! Not alot of course, but enough where it can make a big impact such as the 12/26 and 12/27 event.

I don't understand. Both DC and Philly are in America and on the east coast. I think you are wrong and the climatology is the same.

Recall too, that that SW was rather south and brougt snows to the RNK CWA before blowing up off the coast--- much different and much more south.

I agree totally different but just want to mention that they CAN work out but ... as most of us know... they rarely do. Without a major SW push not happening. This seasonal trend is NO.

Philly's average snowfall is 20.8 a year, DC is 14.8.

It's not a great deal of difference, but like I said it can be a big deal like the last event was.

Wowsers. I learn something new on this board every day. Now why didn't my copy of the Kocin/Ucinelli book clue me in on this...

Next you will tell me its colder and snowier in Boston on average than DC too!

We also learned that the euro can jump around as badly as any model. It's low at 108 hours is over CHI and is a clipper rather than the gfs bomb off the coast at the same time on the last run.

The euro has'nt been the same since it's upgrade.
