Quakertown needs snow
All I'm going to say is that if this storm ends up being mostly rain the day after one of the coldest days this past decade, I'm going to be pretty disappointed. eh, glacier will start rebuilding soon after... it would really suck for the ski areas if they get the rain
ChescoWx
I would be highly suspicious of any model that shows the ski areas getting rain...this one will be a very nice winter event for inland spots. eh, glacier will start rebuilding soon after... it would really suck for the ski areas if they get the rain

famartin
12Z Euro caves to the GFS. Go USA! And the GFS is mostly OTS There seems to be less and less available cold air on the models...
Parsley
I'll take OTS over flooding rain for the 2nd time in a year.
BucksCO_PA
And the GFS is mostly OTS There seems to be less and less available cold air on the models... yeah but that's the only way we get snow at this point
JTA66
I'll take OTS over flooding rain for the 2nd time in a year. I don't want the rain either. Sure, I'm a weenie and want snow, but ... with the current snow pack and frozen ground, 1"-2" of rain will cause problems.

Parsley
There has been snow on the ground for pretty much the past month, I've seen enough of it. Sure I'll take a 2 foot snowstorm, but no need for a potential flooding run-off rain storm, if it can be avoided.
Bluescat1
And the GFS is mostly OTS There seems to be less and less available cold air on the models... Some models are hinting at a new high pressure trying to nose in to save part of the event.

Harbourton
FYI, even the EC starts as rain along I-95... 925 mb temps are above freezing. I'll take it as long as it isn't 2,5" inches of rain as the Euro spit out in previous runs.
ChescoWx
Dropping off quickly here with the clear skies and relatively fresh snowpack...Wxsim has a low of 1 degree here by morning but NWS has a low of 11 with temps rising with some increase in clouds later....kinda think the NWS will be a bit closer to the mark High today only 18.6 Currently Clear Temp 14.2 RH 65% DP 4.6 Wind calm

Parsley
Are the clouds to stop temps. from falling still back in the Ohio Valley? If so, it could be 0-5 degrees (or less) by midnight. I see dewpoints are close to 0 in most spots.

ChescoWx
Already below the overnight low per the NWS Point forecast....Wxsim has a 1 by AM Likely to see a continued fall for a couple more hours and then a rebound as clouds increase with the cold front Currently Clear 10.0 RH 73% DP 3.1 Wind West at 1mph Current snowcover 7"
LMolineuxLM1
It is 14 here in Brookhaven, with maybe an inch or so of snow-cover left on the grass. Forecasted Low of 13 here dewpoint at the airport is 0 or as displayed as -0. So i think we hit 8 to 10 here being below the forecasted lows, but as others have said cloud cover could pull temps back up through the night as the cold front moves on through. ChescoWx
Down to 9.4 here in NW Chester County I can't remember the last time we had single digits this early in the evening...that said the Mt Holly expects the incoming clouds to halt the fall and likely increase temps a bit especially with a little elevation.
