Isotherm
4-8" cover remains in Monmouth even after today's torch. 51 days down, we'll probably survive to Thurs or Fri which would be 54/55.
phlwx
What the hell are you talking about? It might help if you actually looked at the statstics before posting. http://www.erh.noaa....nacs/ewrfeb.htm He's talking about this: http://www.srh.noaa....data/OKX/CLIEWR Saying "what the hell are you talking about" is a pretty rude way to respond to someone... and supports my thread in OT Looks like I did look at the statistics...if the CLI is showing it, is it right? famartin
Maybe the better question would be "Why does OKX have a different number in the almanac than in the CLI?" I don't know for sure. However I can say for certainty that the CLI is correct. The webpage is wrong.

Analog96
To help resolve an error like this on a web page, email the webmaster at OKX instead of chatting it up here. [email protected] I know, I just didn't notice it, until it became an issue in this thread. I looked in the almanac file and saw what I saw, and PHLWX looked in the CLI file and saw what he saw. I would agree, because the almanac page has a record high for KNYC from 1946 also.

Sounds like OKX needs to know of these errors so they can get them corrected. Shoot an email to the webmaster so they can take a look.
mattinpa
Because of the wind and lack of sun, today didn't feel like 60 at all. Thursday and Friday should finally feel good.

Yes_Probably_Maybe_No
Because of the wind and lack of sun, today didn't feel like 60 at all. Thursday and Friday should finally feel good. It felt great....there was a time during mid afternoon when the wind calmed down a bit and you could feel the full 60 degree goodness. Screw the snow, we should have this kind of weather year round (minus the wind).
Thunder Road
60.4° today IMBY high for tomorrow (well today really) will probably be 40.1° set as 12:00am

And I still want snow..year round mildness to me is boring.
Thunder Road
well I'm finally down to less than 50% snow cover. If I started the day yesterday with >50%, but ended with <50%, do I count it as a snow cover day? If so, then that's 39 40 consecutive days! I wonder what the record from 1993-94 was, probably like 50 or something...

iceman56
My forecast from 2/9 and verification: Friday - 32 32.7 Saturday - 38 37.9 Sunday - 45 41.9 Monday - 50 53.6 Tuesday - 46 Wednesday - 50 Thursday - 55 Friday - 59 Still 9.5" of concrete at snowstick in yard. Looks like my forecast for today will bust high big time, underestimated the cold push.
_AR_
With the refreeze of the ice crust on the snow and this wind, I have been blessed with looking out the window to see that my garbage cans are now like a mile away from where they were placed at the end of my driveway. Screw the snow, we should have this kind of weather year round (minus the wind). I would recommend San Diego as a place to buy your next home or rent your next apt./condo. I'm perfectly happy with winter weather during the winter. Now if it's below 50 degrees during the mid-afternoon in May or June, then that's a problem. Of course, I won't complain about a few warm days in mid-February. Both Thursday and Friday should be 60+ degrees in Philly.

ChescoWx
Would appear we are nearing the end of our snowcover however...still a solid pack as you can see in the attached taken just a few moments ago. chubbs
We probably have over 50% coverage here but one or two more warm days should do it.. Bare spots in sunny areas. Still good cover in woods and other shady areas. Quite a bit more snow here though than at work in New Jersey
