I wonder if anyone else from asheville is up... its really coming down now... defiantly at least moderate snow with significantly reduced visibility. Very small flakes though.

Temp: 31.8 degrees

Humidity: 90% ... this really shot up in the past 15 minutes.

Hey Phil, I am up with a nasty virus! We started snowing about 45 min. ago temp is down to 32.1°. Ground & cars have a nice coating. Radar upstream doesn't look so hot right now. (could be poor refl. i guess) I would be tickled to get a couple of inches out of this thing.

:( sorry to hear that.... hope you can get over it before the big event this weekend! Its tapered off the flurries here but it looks like the clipper upstream is still a long ways away.

Same here, I've got just under 2" now.

Even though its been consistently light snow nothing laying down. Temps in the low 30's and rates are too light for accumulations at this time.

However, rates are going to increase when looking at the radar moving into TN. I think this is going to be the "window" in which we get our accumulations.

Talk about frustrating it has been snowing in Weaverville for 3 hrs with nothing on the ground! :arrowhead: I bet we have wasted at least 2 inches. 36.6° & has been rising during the snow.

If you believe the nam... we are still a good 3-6 hours away from our heaviest snowfall, so be patient :)

Its doing pretty much the same thing over here... light snow, but well above freezing so no accumulation yet.

Temp: 36.0 degrees

Humidity: 88%

Pushing close to 3" now. 31.1, temp has barely moved all day.

It seems like this has been an elevation dependent event thus far... we are slowly dropping off in temperature as the snow rate increases. I'm still pretty confident that our heaviest snow will occur in the next 3-6 hours, and we should get a nice burst before it ends in Asheville.

Temp: 34.6 degrees

Humidity: 91%

Does UNCA have any snow on the ground already?

Its just starting to accumulate now... temperatures were the limiting factor, but things start coming down pretty nicely now. The ground is starting to get white.

Current Conditions: Moderate Snow

Temp: 33.8 degrees

Humidity: 92%

Lucky! It's 45 where I am, so I doubt ill see snow today haha.
