DomNH
Tenet #2: Any winter weather--even if it is cold and snowfree--is better than non winter weather. Today was beautiful...sunny with the temp hovering right around freezing.

Damage In Tolland
I dont either...it looked for a frame or two there the Euro was going to give us a monster storm...but it kind of got interfered with...but doesn't mean that would happen again given a similar evolution. What would you say the chances are we see a total miss? % wise. One person was saying he felt pretty confident of a miss

Managed to almost let the fire go out a couple times--glad I caught it before I did. Would get a bit nippy otherwise.

40/70 Benchmark
My image of a Marine is a rugged can do type that is undaunted by hardship or discomfort. Sweeping a nice 3" refresher of the car seems like a fairly easy thing to do. I'm just needling you Ray don't get your dander up. It's just in my book there is no such thing as a nuisance snow. 3" or 3', it's all delicious to me. What would you rather have 3" of snow or HHH swamp azz weather? ENJOY!! I know, but that is one of the few things I don't really joke about.....I myself never saw combat and was onloy a tampon who got activated, but some of my friends did and never came back. Anything over swamp azz lol
HoarfrostHubb
I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but this part of the BOX AFD was pretty funny: HOWEVER AS WE HAVE SEEN FROM PAST EVENTS A MORE AMPLIFIED AND CLOSER SOLUTION SEEN IN DAYS 6-7 COMES BACK IN DAYS 2-3. One person was saying he felt pretty confident of a miss I think it depend on what you define as a total miss...is 0.7" of snow over 36 hours a total miss? Or does have to be a trace or less...or not a flake? It also depends on where you are. Someone in NE MA or SE NH probably has a better chance than someone in SW CT for SNE. Thanks for mentioning us by name That's why I'm enjoying the trip and deriving enjoyment out of the crazy model journey. I expect barely making an advisory right now. I'm OK with this. Earlier I doubted the setup, not the outcome itself - I bet those spots get smashed while places in between get just enough to bother them. The only thing you should take from that statement is that those other areas have a better chance of getting a big event. But it doesn't mean you are out of the game by any means. Yeah, but it sure seems regardless of how it comes, the places you mentioned get buried and we get substantially less. I think if I'm not in the game by 12z Wednesday it's time to root for everyone else, yes?

Ginx snewx
The fact is, Some on here are getting it on the models a lot sooner then on NCEP site, Like 4-5 panels ahead............. The Raleigh site on this server comes in just as fast as any,. I like having split windows and watching Ray get nervous, he is doing better but had a huge fail at 18Z LOL

Anything over swamp azz lol Understood, I have many service members in my family and some of them made the ultimate sacrifice as well so I get where you're coming from. One of my closest friends has a son that was recently deployed to Afghanistan. It seems like just yesterday he was a 5 yo we were teaching how to ski. He's a bold guy but his dad said he's pretty freaked out right now. He's in a real hotspot on the Pakistan border, doesn't sound like fun. I'll refrain from poking fun at you via the Marine angle and just call you a total p*ssy for not wanting 3" of snow because you'll have to sweep your car off. This notwithstanding, your still ok in my book.lol
