Typhoon Tip
Actually... the Euro lost the last big storm at D4 too, only to bring it back with a vengeance
40/70 Benchmark
Now the PV is retrograding lol Toss this run.

ORH_wxman
There is still quite a bit of energy ready to come down the pipe..it just might not be that prolific. Yeah it might still some way, some how produce something...we'll see. As I've said in a lot of these runs, even the most putrid looking solutions early on have seemed to bring at least advisory snows into the area....they make some sort of late amplification. But wow, what a difference in just leaving that vortex hanging up north this run. But as you said, this still might try and do something late...lots of vorticity on the backside. moneypitmike
Well so much for model consistency and consensus. We now have neither consistency nor consensus. Back to square one. 27.9/
40/70 Benchmark
Actually... the Euro lost the last big storm at D4 too, only to bring it back with a vengeance I agree.....don't buy this....it just confirms what we already knew; the 00z EURO's idea of crushing oil rigs in the GOM with the PV was not valid. weathafella
This run WILL NOT blow. It may be delayed but certainly not denied.
Organizing Low
Whatever this run ends up showing..it's wrong pretty much. the Ukie coming on board with the GFS is pretty big usually the Ukie is doing its own thing for a while this season and never agrees with anyone. Damage In Tolland
Every other 12z model digs the ULL south of SNE...while last nite only the Euro did..now we've got a 100% flip flop..and HPC now is forced to rely on the likely combo and huge verification winners the GFS/Ukie

But wow, what a difference in just leaving that vortex hanging up north this run. But as you said, this still might try and do something late...lots of vorticity on the backside. Yeah I think it might produce something..just perhaps delayed. Whether it's right..well that's debatable.
Organizing Low
ive noticed that there have been some serious timing difference with briniging that vortex down even with the GFS....but ultimatlly the GFS always figures out a way to get some sort of hit..... it may be too early to call the run yet... Typhoon Tip
Wait, this run is not that bad guys/gals The SPV has some mophologies compared to 00z, sure, but at 96 hours it is moving WSW through Ontario with a strong intermediate streamer in Manatoba ready to dive SE and assist in roping it down in cyclonic motion ...probably to a position E of NJ by 132 hours. That may be poor continuity with details, but the overall theme is in check there.
ORH_wxman
Yeah I think it might produce something..just perhaps delayed. Whether it's right..well that's debatable. Yeah I think tis going to hit us anyway, lol...after how disgusting it looked early on. It is just that it decided to move it back to 120-132 hours. Damage In Tolland
the Euro also was too slow in bringing in the HECS blizzard last weekend. Recall when it had it not starting until late monday into tuesday? Sounds like it's just too slow I think its probably wrong with how slow it is here...but all this shows is how ripe the long wave pattern is for something near us...you can get all sorts of problems early on and they still manifest into some type of storm.
