Zeus
Zeus and cweat in the house....basically back in storm mode. I have to atone for my absence during the 20" storm I got a week ago.
40/70 Benchmark
GGEM def brings the whole vortex further south but its a disaster with the shortwave interference and doesn't produce much out of it....just an inch or two. Model blows.......all I wanted to see from that it is the vortex further s......good run.
MaineJayhawk
At my desktop PC now ... pretty awesome when you loop that run the way it explodes as it does its loop into New England. If only this were to happen.
MaineJayhawk
GGEM is the only one that doesn't deliver a death blow. Stash that in the memory bank for verification.

H2Otown_WX
As good as this solution is for you eastern New England guys, it's equally as bad for those of us in some western areas..but mostly the CT River Valley. Any time the valley (or where I live at the base of the Litchfield Hills) is looking for a snowstorm off NW winds, it's over. Personally I'm hoping this isn't the final verdict but then again I might go up to Manchester, NH this week.
TalcottWx
If this run ever came even close to verifying, I wouldn't complain again for a long, long time. Doubtful This run just won't happen. I don't buy it for one second. We are in paradise 100+ hrs. Never a good thing.

MaineJayhawk
Would have to measure with a yardstick and make sure it was right side up......... I use a 12" stainless steel ruler with .10" graduations for my measurements. Doubtful it'd be up to the task if the GFS is anywhere close to accurate. lol

Damage In Tolland
No I mean I knew there'd be NW winds..but that has nothing to do whether the valley sees snow or not. Tell that to Jersey/NYC that had 25-30 inches with NW winds. I just didn't understand his point.
40/70 Benchmark
Very likely not there yet, but I do think this situation will be resolved at a more extended lead, than the last was (not saying much)........we are just dealing with a n stream bowling ball this go around, as opposed to the complex phasing of both streams last time. I think by Wednesday we will have a good idea.

I had 10" in the storm last January with nw winds.
