Hoosier
First, the temperature and precipitation departure maps. And a full listing of all available snowfall amounts (and departures) found via the NWS sites. It was about halfway through the month that I realized that my winter outlook was in trouble. It's not just what happened in December...it's what's continuing to happen. We had a few torch days but the cold signals are intensifying for the end of the week. Then later January could get interesting.

wishforsnow
According to John Dee and he lives up in Keweenaw county north of where I live. We received 37.5 inches of snow for the whole month of December, which is very low for here. If you add November totals it would be 63.5 inches so far.
