A-L-E-X
My mother was literally screaming on the morning of the 27th at the amount of snow, and "how the fook can you possibly enjoy this!??!" She would probably blow a fuse if we had another one this soon. I can't imagine how NYC will react given the debacle of this last one. And this time given the pattern, there won't be a major warmup after. No, it looks like there's another megabomb hot on its heels.

tombo82685
ok people soak it up big time, have the fun, these maps are beautiful to look at. But remember 12z run tomorrow may be completely different for the better or for the worse.
A-L-E-X
Two HECS, one run. I wish we could somehow make all the variables that went into that run happen just like that. I think most of us would be satisfied even if the next three years were snowless if that historic 10 day stretch were to verify.

Definitely shows the extreme potential of the pattern, even if way too extreme. That would be 3-4 feet of snow in 2 weeks??

Yep and we already had a red tagger on the main forum say this run has 0% chance of verifying because of what it does with the PV...

He's from Michigan-- it probably sucks to be there right now. He also said something about the Detroit Lions and I stopped reading at that point. NaoPos
Just to give an idea of how far the PV shifts between 12z and 0z EUro.. 12z EURO has the core of the PV sitting due north of Lake Michigan.. on the 0z, its sitting over the KY, WV, OH border.. @ hour
earthlight
honestly, hes most likely right.... i can't see the pv diving down to the outer banks... Take a look at the degree of blocking retrograding in tandem with the PV and then get back to me with 0% (zero percent) odds.

I wonder if someone can come up with some info on the furthest south the PV has ever gotten in our lifetimes and the most anomalous pattern we have ever seen.
