2Slick
COLD TEMPS ALOFT COMBINED WITH THE STILL WARM WATERS OF LAKE ONTARIO WILL SET THE STAGE FOR RENEWED LAKE EFFECT ACTIVITY DOWNWIND OF LAKE ONTARIO BY SAT AFTERNOON. FORECAST BUFR SOUNDINGS FROM SYR SUGGEST HIGH AMOUNTS ON INSTABILITY (LAKE INDUCED CAPES NEAR 400 J/KG) ALONG WITH INVERSION HEIGHTS NEAR 13 KFT. THAT SAID...AM BEGINNING TO BECOME CONCERNED FOR POSSIBLE INTENSE LAKE EFFECT ACTIVITY AS EARLY AS SAT AFTERNOON ACROSS THE SYR METRO AND ADJACENT LOCATIONS. Organizing Low
Env Canada radar showing the narrow trough line setting up nicely now, after congealing directly over the ottawa region....appears to be about 30-35 miles wide and as the area narrows, heavier echoes are beginning to pop up within it. i cant post an image here for some reason which is annoying. probably just steady light to occasionally moderate snow possible, but stil interesting to see how it evolved on radar. should sit with slight counterclockwise rotation as the ULL swings SE.... for the foreseaable future, rotting slowly. THIS WILL CAUSE DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
