My area must have just missed it then. But I wouldn't be surprised if totals are slightly higher in "eastern" parts of Vernon (Cliffwood Lakes) and in Hardyston. We have gotten a few good gusts of wind though. Had a 35 MPH one around 2:20.

Just went outside and my crude measurements ranged between 10.5 and 11 inches. Still made out pretty well for being in the "snow hole". Would be interesting to see the totals in West Milford.

I'm glad to hear there were still strong snow accumulations and gusts up that way. I actually just had a 40 mph gust a little over 10 minutes ago; surprised me quite a bit. I had been thinking that the winds weren't going to live up to their potential out here, but these recent gusts have changed my mind.

It definitely wouldn't surprise me if we see a report of 18 or even 20" from West Milford...the heavy band was over them for a while and the topography seems to be ideal for snow there.

The snow is really lightening up...but I just measured a 42" drift outside my front door. We're probably close to 30" at this point. I'll go measure in a few spots to see officially...but we aren't going to get to '96 unless we get a surprise band.

you wish you were in the E part of your county based on radar!

You must be referring to that loud gust of wind I just heard.

These snow totals should be very interesting to see. I'm still wondering if that batch in Pennsylvania will ever cross over.

Fortunately it was a sneeze free environment...literally nothing went wrong with this setup as far as getting the storm up the coast.

Congrats to everybody in this thread for an amazing 5-7 days of analysis and discussion. You guys really make this is all so much more fun. It's a learning experience for everybody and it's just been an awesome, awesome week.

Snow seems to be picking up again. The bands coming from far Northeast NJ could give me my final push to 30". I'm running on like two hours of sleep in three days--as soon as the 12z GFS came around on Christmas Eve I knew things were getting serious and sleep would not be give.

Awesome stuff dudes.

When you think about it, can you guys believe we tracked this storm from 200+ hours out? From the ensemble means and GEFS height anomalies..down to the GFS and ECMWF in the medium range..with all the drama, getting to the nitty gritty NAM/SREF stuff..and then down to synoptic and mesoscale tracking. Everybody in this thread really outdid themselves with this storm. And here we are with tons and tons and tons of snow to show for it.
