weathafella
I'm stuck at a friend's house just around the corner from the armory. This storm has been amazing. Feb 06, PDII, and the 20" slop storm last February were great storms, but this system is in a class of its own with all the wind. The Armory! I grew up near there......till 3rd grade when I moved to the west (newer) side of town on 2/29/56. About 3 weeks later, weenie heaven.

DavisStraight
This storm has been very impressive here as far as the wind goes, I just went outside and the snows blowing around pretty good, the drifts would have been huge if we got 18-20'. ORH_wxman
BOS needs one more hour of 1/4 mi and 35+ mph gusts (that hasn't been a problem)...and they will verify a blizzard.
weathafella
That map is about 12 hours old Jay. It maybe correct in the long run. Depends on the next 6 hours. I'm out...gotta get some sleep..

hooralph
Logan had 9.9 as of midnight. That's good. I guess I'll see where the snow went tomorrow. Maybe around the corner? It has definitely let upvve for now. Can make out the Hancock out the window (albeit faintly). Haven't been able to enjoy this much. My son has been up and down all night. Up again now! No pictures.. no Jebwalks from me.

Southshorewx
Been raining here for a while. Im happy with my overtime plowing. The wind is AMAZING. Ive wish I had an accurate reading becuase Ive never experienced wind like this and Ive lived here my whole life. I had a hard time opening the door of my truck from the inside and when I did get out I was actually nervous that I wasn't going to make it inside, Im 5ft 9in 200 lbs. I moved my tv away from the windows of my apartment. If this wind really does pick up around 3 am like they are saying then I really think Ill lose a window. Amazing! mattmfm
Coastal front from Boston to Providence seems to be weakening quickly. New Coastal Front setting up along canal? Not really weakening, just shifting. Actually temps across SE MA are warming right now, while cooling behind the front. Sort of shifting from a SW-NE alignment to S-N as the low shifts east. Clinch Leatherwood
There seems to be a realignment of the banding going on now......tbd.... Yes ugly. Lots of dry air just got sucked west at the mid levels. I hope this isn't the theme of the rest of the night, the E 1/3 of that patch of precip is too warm to accumulate/be snow and the other side isn't that large. We will know shortly, temps soaring here, banded echoes are all rain. I wonder how Kevin is going to take this in the morning? 6" when he went to bed, no echoes for hours at times since so it cant be doing much. Probably not blame the dry slot though. Snow and sleet are mixing with the rain for the first time in about 5 hours in Newport All the puddles and melting in Newport, Middletown, Little Compton and Tiverton will make for the toughest driving in Rhode Island when everyone wakes up.
