OKpowdah
This is far from being over for most north of the Pike. As the mid level low shifts northeastward, should get a good hose of moisture into NH and northern MA through the early morning hours

TalcottWx
Please stay on topic. Thanks. Scanner stuff is very on topic. You ever see an LSR? How do you think the majority of the reports are gathered?
SC48
Earthlight has 26"....blizz conditions for 6 consecutive hours and ongoing. S+ Yet another outrageous anomaly that we can whack it too at H5, yet just wasn't very impressive for the majority of the region. Where is Earthlight located? Clinch Leatherwood
Radar is now showing the CAA, perfectly matches the crashing temps too. Won't get to me until NYE and although I suspect there is a warm wedge all the way back to near Bob/South shore it's probably overcome. We are will get a reset on the banding right now. DavisStraight
maybe orographic lifting on east slopes of ORH hills? Im on one of the highest spots in southern worcester county and Ive been dried slotted too, this after about 4 inches. Im in one of the worst spots for this storm it appears, in 78 we got buried here.
masomenos
The rotation is such that the NY/NJ stuff will have a piece here. Incidentally their PNS is far more paltry than expected. 6 inches in Teaneck as of 7PM? I had that much or more here by then? I thought NYC area got 2 feet? I live in the area and must say that I don't think anyone has a clue how to measure this stuff. 12-18 is the best range right now...closer to the 18, though. I took a walk for a good 30 mins before in the Teaneck area and thought of some of the stories of the 60s blizzards you've posted about over the years! Clinch Leatherwood
One more thing re dissapointment. Go to the NWS Boston Hompage. Look at teh extent of the blizzards warnings versus those even getting falling snow the last several hours. Cmon people, there are going to be a lot of busted dreams there. Get over it, human nature. Clinch Leatherwood
Can see why it dried out everywhere but on the CF...sucked in a lot more dry air. Not sure I've ever been under the bright orange on this map and not been either clear or not precipitating.
