Piqsirpoq
Took a quick walk around my apartment complex (Chelmsford, MA) at 6:20 or so--here's a (probably boring) vid, you can hear the wind gusts and the granules smacking the camera. Perfect powder!

HoarfrostHubb
Still just light fine snow falling. Haven't really gotten into anything mod or heavy yet here. We got one burst of mod snow about an hour or so ago... Mostly just light with some blowing around. What part of Barre?
NB-Weather
Getting heavier snow now under 20 dBZ then when under 30 dBZ. Yay for sleet effecting radar! Pure snow now, windy.. temp 22.. Just a quick question, those waves in southeastern CT. Any chances those are being helped by gravity waves? Can't find any recent data for pressure changes. Typhoon Tip
Well theres been some snow grains or whatever just E of here...not sure what that is from...maybe some weird snow growth. The sounding is certainly below freezing. Its heavy snow SE of there too, so it must just be a weird location of the lift in a small pocket. I have all snow here with no snow grains. It's weird; it has made up to Ayer, too - best way to describe is that some small dendrite aggregates passed through a warm layer and balled them up - it isn't clear like pellets; they are white semi-solid. A narrow warm layer west of BOS and E ORH zipping up prior to 700mb closure it seems.

Typhoon Tip
Maybe some heavily rimed flakes? Interesting idea but ... I have seen this before. Snowing moderate to heavy while simultaneous 10% of the particulates are partially melted but refrozen balls. There has been thunder reported in the area; in fact, this type of particulate behavior is not uncommon during thundersnow. Every one I have experienced did this.
