FPizz
This band is all time...been sitting under it since 5pm and it hasn't budged. Fluctuations and wavers, yes..but it's been here and 30+DBZ for 6 hours now. Unreal snow rates and blizzard conditions. Totally hear you. I've been in that same band but a little south of you. We might not see a band like this for a long time.

Wannabehippie
With all the drifting, how were you able to get a measurement. I went out in to my backyard and couldn't due to all the drifting. Just measured 13.5". Snow is piling up now. Astoria, NY

ag3
With all the drifting, how were you able to get a measurement. I went out in to my backyard and couldn't due to all the drifting. Took as many measurements as possible in less wind affected areas and averaged them.

FPizz
It has been insane. Have you measured? I measured 18 inches. I haven't been outside since 5pm. 18 looks right to me. My wife has an infiniti g35 outside, and it is actually 95% buried. My Grand Cherokee isn't fairing much better. Measuring will be almost impossible. NorthShoreWx
Looks like central Suffolk county getting ready for some heavier snows.... SP
I cant believe I had to leave Allaire for the Poconos again! The radar for SoMoCounty looks incredible! Here in the poconos we have about 3-4 inches at best....blowing around and drifting. Anyone in the Allaire, Wall, Howell area have some totals? blizzardlover
http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=N0R&rid=dix&loop=yes There is a forcefield around Delaware. The heavier bands come right up and perfectly contour to the curvature of the border but don't come across!

cjr231
Probably! We've been in this one band, and it won't slow down! It's been snowing 2-4"/hr for 6 hours now. Same thing on Staten Island. Wasn't sure if I was crazy or just not taking drifts into account accurately but we are definitely in the same boat here. Just wait until this new band pushes a little further west over you. Dare I say its the strongest its been yet.
