cjr231
NINETEEN POINT TWO INCHES OF SNOW! 7.5 INCHES IN TWO HOURS! Is this sarcastic or true? Because here on North shore of Staten Island I really believe its got to be about the same even taking drifts into account. I really do.

FPizz
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see 30"+ amounts under that band. Looks insane under there. It is very windy in the band. My Grand Cherokee has snow to the top of the wheel, but I can also see mulch still in flower beds. It will be really hard to get a good measure. Sundog
I just came back inside from a walk...well basically these are the worst winter conditions I have ever experienced. The snow is BLINDING and the winds are blasting. It's an incredible combination. In was left speechless and then I laughed by myself thinking how this could be possible! Kingwill
Here in Somerset County(Hillsborough) been ripping the past couple hrs to really amp up the totals quick..Approaching Double Digits if not there already. NorthShoreWx
the temperature has dropped 1.4 degrees in under an hour here. Not here. We are at about the high temp for the day now...29.6. Light snow. I guess I should take a measurement soon, but probably 7 or 8 inches. More likely 7. I guess it beats OTS. Not sure how long I'll be online....the power has gone out several times already.

tmagan
From Mt Holly - Storm is dynamic THE STORY OF THIS STORM IS THE BANDING...MAKING STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL FORECASTS DIFFICULT. OVERALL...THE STORM TOTALS HAVE BEEN SCALED BACK OUTSIDE OF THE BANDS...AND BEEFED UP IN THE BANDS. THIS WILL BE AN ONGOING PROCESS...AND THE WARNING SCENARIO MAY HAVE TO BE REEVALUATED FOR PORTIONS OF THE AREA LATE THIS EVENING. Historical in an El Nino year -- Amazing Only thing is it is not El Nino.
Jefflaw77
Weatherbug keeps dropping my temps here in Dix Hills.. 2 reporting stations are at 19 and 18... So temps clearly are dropping.. However we are missing the SNOW BOMB going on in Queens and west... We probably have about 10" but that pales in comparison to the 20"+ reports going on 40 miles to our west.. Nonetheless- insane storm... I think i'll end up w/ 18" or so.. won't be complaining!
