_AR_
You still snowing right now? We have light snow and maybe broke an inch. Wind issues here too as well. Last time I looked out I couldn't tell if it was still snowing or just blowing. Not to sound bitter but I honestly don't care.

sferic
Awesome here in Lynbrook, can't see my neighbor's house across the street and according to what I think I'm seeing on radar I'm not even under a deformation band totally. So to my Long Beach, RVC, Valley stream and all SW Nassau neighbors, do we have another 8 hours left of this? From this point foward (9:00PM) how much more can we add here to our unmeasureable totals here is SW Nassau?
rgwp96
I'm on the eastern side of I-287 in Morris County (north Jersey), just north of I-80. This map puts me squarely in 14 inch territory...but with the current band that is right above me, shouldn't I be getting more? I already have almost a foot of snow on the ground. The gradient may be tight, but it may be further west. if that band doesnt move quick we will pass that 14 in an hr, im in that same band just north of you in butler
blizzardlover
You still snowing right now? We have light snow and maybe broke an inch. Wind issues here too as well. 2" NE of Newark, DE. Some better bands moving in but barring a miracle we're not even going to get to 6".
A-L-E-X
Looks like the barometric pressure is well on its way to going under 29 inches also.
RutgersWx92
The radar just keeps getting better and better. Unreal. That deform band is stalled out right over Somerset County. This is incredible. It is literally pouring snow right now, and the flakes are getting bigger. Near whiteout conditions.

jm1220
Latest NAM keeps snow going here on Long Island until roughly 7am. We still have a long way to go with this one and a lot of accumulation left. We could be shut down for days at this rate. Conditions are just about unspeakable outside. Bluescat1
Wow, look at this projected gradient. I can attest to the accuracy of it too. This is why I got 30 inches in 96 when the official amount for TTn was much less.
earthlight
RUC keeps this sick deform band over the area for another 3 hours at least..and then snow continues through 10z.

Yeah last I saw we had accumulated snow going through 8 am..... if that band stalls out here we are looking to exceed maybe even PD2. The snow is falling about as quickly as it did in PD2 here but with much more wind!

jm1220
Uh no... not in this day and era with functioning snow plows. Given how long the wind is supposed to keep blowing like this and how much snow we likely have left (we could possibly double our current accums), we could certainly be crippled for quite a while. The front of my house is already drifted in.

Guess that leaves the Pt Washington branch as the only one running, since it passes through Woodside. Unless they stopped service on that branch as well!
