In Mahwah tonight, so I'm a few towns away. I guesstimate about 12 inches, no way to really tell with the winds out there with this storm. Some areas around my backyard have drifts over 3 feet.

Yeah same here. There are some huge (3'+) drifts in my backyard.

I have about 10-12 in Nanuet in Rockland. Anyone else from my area?

Yeah about that..maybe alittle more. The winds are simply incredible though. Even if we dont get the incredible snow totals, the winds and drifts from this storm are already insane, had drifts in front of my firehouse of about 40".

Went for a walk. Like many have said, just incredible out there, never seen anything like it. Here on Staten Island we have been in heavy bands for hours now, it seems like its letting up a bit now maybe compared to its peak but still coming down at a good clip.

Took 10 measurements in areas that didn't look like drifts. They ranged from 14 - 19 inches and averaged about 17. I think our total has to be around there.

17" in Colts Neck, Monmouth County. Just got back from walking around the backyard in knee-deep snow. Averaged a ton of measurements to 17". Most were within the 15.5-19" range, drifts as high as 3 feet.

Hvy snow and wind continues here. Simply freaking remarkable.

15.5 inches in Middletown NJ. Measurment were in between 15-18 inches.

Sounds about right for me too. Somewhere around these values.

Measurements with this storm have been atrocious. The latest LSR from Upton has 9PM report from SI with 8". Wtf? Not to mention the airports...

I haven't been back out but I'm guessing currently around 14-15" here. Still nearly impossible to measure but it looks about right.

I can assure you, taking even the most ridiculous drifting into account, we easily have much more than 8 inches here, if not double. Newark is reporting 14 inches and we got into all the same bands they did.

They should be pushing a foot now easily. Those totals seem very low considering the hvy banding all evening.

Chiming in here from afar...

That 7 o'clock measurement at central park was total garbage. At that time, there had been .55 qpf in the last six hours, so unless ratios were 8:1, which they were not, well quite frankly the personeasuring was half azzing their job. They need to stop letting people that dont have a clue what they are doing take measurements. same thing goes for those people measuring at the airports.

Btw, since that measurement central park has gotten up to at least an inch of qpf. Just about anything under a foot for a total at this point would likely be wrong.

Sorry guys that those people that are too lazy to do this properly might ruin your official totals.

You will go over 2 feet while the NYC airports will somehow finish up with like 8-- but we all know better lmao.
