ag3
That band will pause and swing thru all of NYC eventually. Fluctuating in strength. We are all enjoying moderate snow and we should all get a chance at super heavy snow throughout the night. The ocean banding is taking place and all LI and NYC will get their turn. Zelocita Weather
If you told me that in the late 1980's and early 1990's we would be experiencing storms like this, I would have laughed. Back then, storms of five inches were big deals. That band did its damage, since the last time I was out and measured. Im comfortable saying we have around 12" at this point, with 2' drifts. Snowing about 1"/hr maybe a little harder. WOW!
