40/70 Benchmark
Well, my final call for mby is 15-25"; hoping for some help from the cf for the upper end and hoping to not get PDIIed in order to stay away from the lower half.....ie avoid the se edge if the sustinence zone, attributed to extra lift associated with the cf. Thought it was the last one, but this one is absolutely, unequivocally it; the culmination of my 4 years and 3 mths on these boards. I think Boston (12-18") sees the low end of my range and JUST to the n and w the sky is the limit. ski MRG
17/12, winds have gone from calm to light (2mph) from the NE. Moon is barely visible through an overcast sky.
Logan11
Current 6Z runs clinging to probably middle of that 6-12" range, but razors edge.... 25 mile shift east and it's more like 3" The last few run have gone east very small increments each run, but significant if you are on the edge. I should get some more sleep. LOL ALB is pretty gung ho for you to get hit with 6-12".

Baroclinic Zone
I'd like to set this thread up as a general banter/model discussion and set up a strict obs/ snowfall total thread to keep them separate. If someone from NNE can set up an obs thread as well, that'd be great.

Yeah no kidding. Euro tries to tip you to rain between 06z and 09z, but then thickness crash by 12z. Just hope the low passes closer to ack while bombing. It's a very tight line. It could be snowing at BOX and raining down by you. That's how tight the gradient will be.

So, you're saying that a place ... we'll use Tolland, CT for this example ... could get 14" while a place very nearby, in this case Union, CT, could get 20+? free_man
Interesting that the SREF ens mostly bring the 40F 2m contours up to the CC Canal and 32-34 towards Boston and even 128 in some cases.
