SPC issues MCD for Central and Eastern N.C..

http://www.spc.noaa..../md/md2134.html

That's a pretty strong and definitive statement by the NWS! Obviously, with Union County NC falling into that area, I want to buy into it. But I'd like to hear some opinions about this statement from our resident message board mets. Thoughts? Opinions?

:( 37 deg and light rain :P

I don't think all hope is lost for you... precip is streaming back int Columbia quite rapidly and as the coastal low gets cranking, 925mb temps should start to crash southward. I think you are not too far away from some snowfall.

Looks to be winding down on the N. side of Greenville, SC. Smaller flakes and the wind is picking up. I can't wait to see what the coastal has in store for those downeast!

How much are you with total now... snow is tappering off here as well, but still have some light snow coming down at a decent rate. Looks like the band really doesn't want to quite quit here yet, as there are a couple more pulses of higher dbz heading towards the SE part of Greenville, SC. its a shame though we won't be able to get in on the coastal precipitation associated with the surface low... its starting to really pivot back almost due north, but after this extra band moves through, we lose the upper level moisture in this area. I still think Charlotte might be able to get under this next lobe of precipitation as it continues to stream northward from Columbia.

moisture in SC looks to really be picking up as it heads my way.

Thats what Im waiting up for. Hopefully it will reward us with 1+ inch per hour rates. Wish the trough would go negative right when those echoes get over us and pivot a while. (wishful thinking). I have a little over an inch out this way,

The deck and the grass has a solid 3-4". The roads go from slushy to about an inch maybe. I wish it would have gotten a little colder. We would have had a lot more sticking that's for sure. I may call it a night. Have a good night all! Maybe I'll sneak a peak at the radar tonight to see what's up :)

Yep looks like CLT and point east will get the rewards from the precip blowing up over SC. I think I'm just a little too far west, but it appears I have a decent band settling over me. Closing in on 2 inches now.

Hopefully so if we luck out this will be a very interesting storm as far as who won and who lost. Light to moderate snow right now with a temp of 31.5

Alright folk time to go to bed it's about done here and I don't expect but maybe an inch more.

Those to the south and east good luck and it looks like you guys are going to have some fun really soon. Ya'll waited long enough for it!

Have about 6 to 7 inches on the ground, so I'm good with that. Like I said earlier these were the tiniest flakes but it added up to a lot.

I think we all need a break from the board, maybe we will get a couple of days of warm weather and we can recharge for the next one?

If anyone gets thunder snow please tell us about it and get some Pics. or Video of the intense snowfall rates if ya can!
