Snow still coming down pretty hard here with a temp of 28. Probably about 4 inches on elevated surfaces and about 3 on the ground. I'm trying to find my damn camera. .

 didnt think you'd need it? thats awesome - it appears this time the notorious screw zones did not materialize for anyone :guitar:

Still snowing pretty good here!! Trees are starting to look kinda 'bendy' if you know what I mean. :)

same here but i couldnt figure out how to say it lol

Flurries have ended here, I'll call it 1.75" due to varying amounts (well over 2" elevated spots, less than an inch on parts of the yard). I'm disappointed we missed out on higher totals due to temp issues but I'm not complaining. I assume the band of snow back in Alabama isn't going to continue on over here?

Between 10.5 and 11 inches on my back deck in Wilson (sheltered from the wind and level, so I think it's pretty accurate) and snowing harder than it has all day. I tried to upload some pics to the picture thread but it kept hanging up for some reason.

Wow that's amazing!

Really coming down now....wish it would keep this up for another hour or two.

6 inches even in Southern Pines! This officially beats my entire season last year.

 I know you had a frustrating winter last year so it's great to hear you did well. I was actually rooting for you.

Models keep a moist 850mb to 700mb environment here pretty much all day..i'm hoping that flakes might still be flying most of the afternoon. The issue here is though downslope might start eating away at it by then.

Me and foothills thought yesterday something like this might happen for northeast ga/upstate as the models hinted at a trough extended from the main low possibly aiding in snow production and it's nice to see it did. I had a feeling there could be some decent accumulations with it but wasn't confident enough to say so (although I did say light accumulations).

Here it is on the hpc maps

i remember the discussion here late last night, and checking out the ruc, but i will admit i was surprised to see such an expansive area of moderate snow adding a couple of inches to the storm total (thats why this board is so great )

its not as heavy ( :( ) as it was, but its still snowing :snowman:

it seems like this has sort of happened before after a big storm moved through, but i dont remember one that was as strong as this one

Light Snow

32 degrees

Union, SC

Got 2-3/4" on the ground. Roads are wet.

Went to bed at 11:30 with a dusting. Woke up at 8:00 with snow falling and ground covered. NWS forcast of 2-4 was spot on here. We had 4-5 hours of light to moderate rain. We could have cashed in big if not for that. Overall happy with what I got. Thanks to all the mets for the hard work.
