Same here. Very fortunate. Lots of damage nearby but my neighborhood was spared.

Glad you lucked out too!

A friend drove thru my area earlier and texted me later to ask if a tornado came thru. She had no idea it had even stormed last night haha

Power didn’t come back until after 6. It’s a mess up here. Lot of trees down.

Probably more microburst than rotation. Also one of my besties sent me this image bc I guess you posted on FB in the Hereford group and she saw it and asked me if it was a tornado lol. Hope your house is ok!

Our house was not damaged. Had a few big branches fall but all trees stayed up, unlike neighbors. Thanks for asking. Glad you also fared well.

I haven't turned my AC on yet this year. It was a bit toasty yesterday but bearable under the ceiling fans. This morning i have the windows open and a nice cool breeze is flowing through the house and has lowered my inside temp 3 degress already. I'm guess this week will be the week i have to turn it on. Wish it would rain

It feels like it's been months since we had a sunny morning. I don't ever remember so many cloudy windy days.

We have set some records in the wind department, and clouds have ruled the last 35 days. Nationwide winds have been impressive.

I wanted to plant some perennials and other stuff this week and next. Was planning on this being a rainy period. Lol

Seems that some plants are having a hard time exiting dormancy, my crepe myrtle , and other plants have some areas that look dead, stress from last Fall and the dry conditions possibly.  Many areas to my West did not share in decent rains recently, and with the warm temps and windy conditions things have dried up quickly.

It's been a thing the last 3 years...may have started in Spring '22 (winter didn't want to leave) and especially Spring '23 when we had to deal with wildfire smoke from Canada.  Too much nw flow and a lack of storms originating out of the gulf leaves us with mostly leftover clouds and a breeze.  I'm ready for swamp weather.  Otherwise, I'd rather just live out west lol.

Had a really nice easter Sunday yesterday. Spent a lot of it outside. Tree pollen was high so I reached for a 24hr Zyrtec at midday (a rarity for me).

Grateful for the lack of mosquitos. I guess they haven't had a chance to breed yet. However, those gnats that try to land in your eyes were plentiful. Oh, well.

At least the clouds are saving us from drying out even further.

The solar radiation component has been missing from the ET formula lately. Which is good, because the wind and dew point depression hasn't been doing us much good lately.
