I'll find out once it warms up how much damage they received. A few miles to my east it never made it below freezing. That's good. I love agriculture and April is such a sensitive time of the year for our fruit crops in Maryland.

wxdude64
Low was 24.8 here this morning at 6:15 am, sort of a warm outliner for what I'm see around the area (19-22). That 24.8 is not close to a record (20 degrees in 2007), but still chilly.

87storms
Finally got a bike ride in over at the 'shed. Been a while. Trail was in good shape...dried out nicely...only slightly damp. The next rainer should continue to help the creek there, which looked like it was still flowing from the last couple events.
BlizzardNole
Nice afternoon once we got to the low 50s. My hydrangeas had started leafing out and those new leaves are dead. yoda
No. Do not want. From this morning AFD from LWX Through the end of next week upper troughing dominates across the Mid-Atlantic to Northeast, bringing a series of reinforcing cold fronts and below normal temperatures to the region. Daytime highs in the 50s to 60s, with overnight lows in the 30s. While just beyond the current 7 day forecast, ensemble guidance shows a good chance of seeing freezing to near freezing temperatures Wednesday night into Thursday of next week. 1

GramaxRefugee
Light rain starting about 8:15 And look at this: When did we start referring to 2 inches of rain as "showers" ? Since there is TECHNICALLY some minor elevated convective element that would provide some "burst" components, they probably kept it as the output. I personally would've went with just stratiform rain, but that's the difference from forecaster to forecaster.

LongRanger
Interpreting wx radar after color inflation: green = partly cloudy, dark green = cloudy, yellow = virga, orange = sprinkles, red = moderate sprinkles, purple = light rain, blinking dark purple = rain, radar inoperative = rain, sometimes moderate
