The shield is finally expanding north, although a cutoff of good amounts is still likely somewhere between the DC Beltway and I-70.  I suspect that the models are struggling to capture the exact structure of the shallow chilly air mass, leading to misrepresentation of the zone of best overrunning.

At this point we just need some rain... After one of the best 6 months in several years , have only picked up 0.17 since March 4th... Getting dry again fast with the rising temps...

Agreed 100%.   I am over 2 inches low for the past month!

Thankfully, I have received .66" in the past 6 hrs.

Are we ever going to get an area wide dumping?  Jesus Christ.

Doesn’t seem like it! Friday’s event is on deck! What could go wrong about a late developing cutoff coastal low!?

I guess it was just delayed. Pouring, and the radar looks great for DC and S&E. Looks like I'm working in the rain today. Oh well. I get wet anyway (we wash residential and commercial buildings).

Why does that sound so familiar LOL!  Guess we turn towards the next drizzle fest later this week

The favored corridor that existed during the winter going across the central Eastern shore to Dover and slightly South seems to be the same area this morning receiving the better rainfall.

Rain has picked up in intensity here recently. Looks to continue for several more hours.

The grass is excessively tall. Looking forward to 35 to 40 mph wind gusts tomorrow to help dry things out.
