hawkeye_wx
My final rain total is 3.12". That was a lot of fun. I love heavy rain and it has been a long time since the last heavy rain event. There were a few lightning flashes, but it wasn't much up here in the cold air.

OrdIowPitMsp
This is the time of year we have better weather in Minnesota then lakeshore areas of Chicagoland. Near 70 yesterday and today. Absolutely perfect spring weather. Starting to see some buds really swell on trees here.

TheClimateChanger
You would think by the characterization of these threads (March & April) that this has been a cold and miserable spring. In fact, it's been one of the most favored springs on record with excellent planting conditions. By the end of the month, many places should be looking at a top 10 warmest spring season to date. Dayton, Ohio, for instance, where the thread creator resides, is currently in 11th place, which places this season around the 92nd percentile of all years! For the record, 1945 & 1946 were not observed at the airport. Temperatures were quite a bit cooler at the airport site:

sbnwx85
Grass planting szn has started at the South Bend homestead. Sure sign of spring. Will I keep up with the dead patches caused by dog pee through the summer? Stay tuned.
