Also GFS says maybe we salvage Tuesday but Monday looks like it's more backdoor onshore flow gunk. April can't get over with soon enough.

The heavier echos lower it somewhat but I doubt anyone in this forum outside the Orange County @IrishRob17, maybe @wdrag wake up to snow on the ground. If there's a heavy band that sets overhead for someone maybe catpaws hit the ground for most of us. Just another raw, nasty day. Build the water table up for the inevitable dry period over the summer.

Can also see how over CT there's snow lower to the ground. Might be a good event for higher CT/MA/Catskills elevations.

On the patio at Nordstrom Tower/tippy top of the WTC/Empire State antennas there might be some catpaws mixed in with the heavier echos but generally still over 2k feet for any real snow mixed in. And of course heavier rain is focusing west of here-just raw nasty drizzle for the most part IMBY.

Yeah heavier rain is setting up now.  Still at 40 degrees.  It will take some solid elevation to see anything noteworthy.

it’s definitely rate dependent, the heavier echoes. It’s a sleetfest, lighter echoes it’s a driving rain.

Over performer IMBY.  I have to measure, and might have to get out my snow shovel again, wasn't expecting to have to shovel. I figured it would be a mostly grass/car topper event here.

My brother sent photos from his area of Sussex County with an impressive amount of snow on all surfaces.

2.25" on the grass, less on the sidewalk and pavement, but all surfaces covered.  32F with moderate snow.  Nice!

2.6" on the board at 6:15am down here at just under 400' elevation. A grass measurement nets be anywhere from .5 to 1.5 more depending on which clump of grass I measure by LOL

We remember the big ones lol, especially our first big one.

 

I wrote this in the CC forum but it applies to here too. I went shopping yesterday and talked to a bunch of people about this weather, both left and right.

To be honest I've been talking to a lot of people who wish climate change would accelerate lol. They don't want the crap weather we are having right now, they want 60s-70s and sunny.  The bad thing is this kind of weather we're having actually makes the deniers think they are right, they've been saying, if climate change was a serious problem we wouldn't be getting this kind of weather anymore.

Paradoxically, I think climate change acceleration is the only way to get more people angry and involved.  It has to become a serious life and death situation where it's warm enough to cause disruption to their life. And a large percentage of people actually don't want abnormally cold weather anymore, that's another issue.
