Jackstraw Posted yesterday at 07:54 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:54 PM Was outside with the dogs, had a sweatshirt, winter hat, gloves and a jacket on. It was freezing 40-45 with a stout NE wind. Went into eat and take a shower, got dressed went back outside in like 90 min and it felt like someone turned on the sauna, 70/60 (77/65 now) . I've never felt it get that warm and that humid that quick before. HRRR showing 4-600 m2s2 now around here. Gonna go sit and watch somewhere off to my SSE. Chasing is futile with these storm speeds 4

Thankfully in a rather unpopulated area. Seems to be cycling now as it heads into more populated areas. Edit: Spotters reporting rain wrapped tor on the ground near Bloomington. That’s usually not a good sign for severe storms. lol It has been pretty chilly all day that is for sure. We had over 2" of rain here. Lots of water everywhere. Hopefully you are not have any power problems. It has been horrible since the weekend because of ice in northern lower MI.

The rotation looks to be passing more towards Paxton, IL and north of Rantoul (the county line there is the boundary between the NWS offices in ILX and LOT).

Harry Perry Posted yesterday at 10:49 PM Share Posted yesterday at 10:49 PM Warm front is just not going to make it up here. Looks to stay south of the border now. Couldn’t have been the diarrhetic rain we had for 12 hours straight. It just wouldn’t stop. Pretty ominous looking for the Ft. Wayne region though.
