Wonder how much that line holds when it hits here. 80MPH winds are interesting but I could also do without the mess that would cause. We are on the warm side of the front right now here with mid 60s so I guess severe isn’t out of the question even up here.

Powerball
Can confirm from experience, 80 MPH straight-line winds fortuantely don't cause much nearly as much destruction with bare trees vs. full leaf out.
roardog
I would think the areas north of the front that are in the 40s wouldn’t have much wind even though they issued warnings for those areas.

Lightning
That was fun. We were outside to hear the roar coming. Estimate we had gusts ~65MPH, heavy rain, small hail and lots of thunder.

For some reason it’s not as exciting as summer storms IMO. There’s something about the constant lightning of a t-storm on an oppressive sunny 92F day that gives more satisfaction. KeenerWx
Wasn't too interesting locally. Certainly gusty, but nothing of note. A handful of low rumbles. However, just east of here much different.

These fast moving storms that last under 20 minutes are not my favorite but it has been REALLY weather boring lately so yesterday was a fun change!! I much prefer your scenario above but it is only March

Stevo6899
It was pretty much a non-event here. Considering it was bowing out, I expected much more. It's like once they make their way over the oakland hills. they peter out.
