I felt the 10% hatched risk was overdone, I am pretty sure most if not all of the tornadoes reported were gusnadoes.

Agree on both accounts.

It seems that the only likely tornado just happened to be one that was unwarned and that no one saw (Delavan).

Pea sized hail here right now. Just pouring down. Yard is covered. Temp down 20 degrees in minutes.

Storm earlier today around 1:30 was probably the coolest looking clouds I’ve seen. Sky looked like mud with the dust, and it was dark as night. Should’ve snapped a pic, but I guess I was too much in awe.

Nice MCS/QLCS structure moving through the metro area.

0.25" hail very briefly here at ORD. Peak wind gust unknown, as the sensor went down, but it was 40MPH+.

Back home, I caught 0.50" hail on the yard cam.

I guess they forgot you need decent amounts of moisture to bring part of the cloud to the ground

out of all the weather phenomenon, dirty rain is probably my least favorite

Its wild. Social media here is all a buzz over it, the radar didn’t make much sense when that line rolled through. I guess it was picking up soil not actual rain in those returns. Looks like it is half way to Cleveland by now

Again, LCLs weren't looking prohibitive on the CAM (mainly HRRR) forecast soundings even as late as 09-10Z this morning, problem is they didn't verify.

Thank you! Glad someone has a brain. Apparently chasers need spotter training again. Saw multiple reputable chasers calling obvious gustnadoes tornadoes.

Reports of large trees down, house and barn damaged in the same area and time of this CC drop in Fulton and Kosciusko County, IN. No Tornado Warning.

I was on NWSChat when that happened. IWX said that it wasn't lining up with velocity/reflectivity scans and speculated that it might have been a microburst.

Unless the post-storm surveys indicate otherwise, the SPC has those spotter reports on the record as tornadoes (total of 9 reports yesterday).

If they go into the LSRs as tornado reports, they'll appear on the SPC page. However, they won't go into the official count if not confirmed by survey.

Tornado confirmed in Fulton/Miami County, IN. Straight line winds in Cass County, IN

Statement from the NWS:

...Preliminary Damage Survey Results of Damage from March 19, 2025

Severe Storms...

Surveys have been completed from damage in 2 general locations,

with initial details shared below. Additional details will follow

this evening including any track maps as appropriate.

.Logansport, IN (Cass County)

NWS and EMA officials completed a survey of damage near and

northeast of the Cass County Airport in Logansport, IN. Video

footage of a funnel was received from EMA southwest of

Logansport, but the damage found in the area was inconclusive

regarding whether a tornado touched down and will thus be ruled as

straight line winds. Additional details on maximum wind speeds and

locations will come this evening.

.Macy to south of Akron, IN (Miami into Fulton County)

NWS and EMA officials completed a survey of damage of the above

noted area and confirmed a tornado of EF0 intensity occurred, with

maximum wind speeds of 80 to 85 mph. This started near Macy and

ended south of Akron. Additional track and timing details will be

released this evening.

We would like to thank all emergency management, Indiana

Department of Homeland Security, spotter and media for all the

reports that were passed on.
