The last time all of us got accumulating snow this late in the season we had a major severe outbreak weeks later

Our last late season storm was 4/16/21... I got 8.5" at my house

There was a EF1 in Dutchess County NY and an EF0 in Litchfield County CT with wind reports up into W MA just 5 days later... is that the one you are talking about?  There was really nothing notable in May in SNE... one late month event with some minor wind damage

I was thinking 2018 but I forgot about the 2021 April event...that may have actually been a bit later on the calendar in 2018. But I remember in 2018 we had multiple accumulating snow events and I think manty even had snow showers as late as April 21?

yeah that event was 4/18/18

Actually was a bit of a bust, but any amount of snow on that late date is notable

Had an inch of snow Tuesday night about 2 inches early Friday morning and now 4 inches, where was this in December? Pretty interesting winter. I was in Hartland from Thanksgiving through the first week of March, disappointed that there were no big Nor’easter’s but at least it wasn’t an endless run of 45° and partly cloudy.

Looking at the NAM profiles off this 12z run this morning ... the difference between tomorrow, 18 to 21z, compared to the next day, Monday, between those same hours would be spectacular. Tomorrow in that run would be slate grays falling mist through mid afternoon - eastern New England being worse for it. Temperatures in a dungeon 42-like energy sucking torture.

Monday, 71 F with cerulean blue sky through which an unabated late summer solar bath takes place.   Wind in the grid is like 9kts from 280 degrees ...down-sloped from RUT to BOS.

Very very difficult to remain focused on work ... They should have a headline codified for this sort of thing do to the shear loss in regional GDP that's going to happen from all the early check-outs.  Fuck-it type weather refugees filling parks and sidewalk cafes ... etc.

I guess ... altho I don't exactly know what "tig ole' biddies Monday"  actually means but sure.  LOL

It's two days away using the NAM - let's bear that in mind.  Plenty of time for April to strap on the CD and go to work on that outlook  <_<

Climb up and give us a report…let’s see if the HRRR is worth anything?

Sounds like a good job for CoastalWx!

Odd that the HRRR just picked that one area repeatedly.  Why didn't it do it for other mtn peaks that were even higher then Brace Mtn in the area?  The 3 km NAM does this systematically all the time for all higher peaks, but HRRR singnaling out one mtn for multiple runs?  Not sure I have seen that before.
