wx_observer Posted yesterday at 11:53 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:53 AM Guess this is what we should expect now that they have cut all that funding and staff at NWS? Most recent snow map on the website is from 7:30 pm last night. I'm in the 2-3" range on this map and I'm technically not even in the WWA zone. I'm at 650 elevation and have at least 6" on the ground...and it's still snowing. The 3:30 am update follows suit:

But getting down to lower elevations and accumulations depends on banding. You pounded for two hours which helped. Wasn’t an easy forecast as even a few miles east of you had much less.

mahk_webstah Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM What’s interesting as the snow grows. I had assumed it would be big fat flakes, but this looks like the kind of snow growth you would see in a cold snowstorm. Visibility is very low and it is snowing hard. I think we’re gonna have a problem with trees if we get another hour of this.

jculligan Posted yesterday at 12:14 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:14 PM Exactly 1.5" in Salem NH. It's letting up as the heavier echoes shift north, so we're probably done now. Still, it's our first measurable since 2/27 and our first 1"+ since 2/16. We are now tied with last year's seasonal total at a whopping 36 inches.

That’ll change in a couple hours when we start creeping to 32.5-33.
