you’re fine. My comment was directed to a particular poster in Tolland who has held firm on his forecast of just showers for today.

I didn't think anyone was calling us out, but I did want to make sure GYX was following my own advice before I started talking about it. Thankfully we no showers up here.

This is a great example on current radar. Showers. Where’s the all day rain?

When folks think of or hear calls for a rainy day they think all day rain.. not hours of dry in between showers

Judging by radar it’s been steady rain all day along and W of I-91.
Pouring in Falmouth right now, but the morning was intermittent showers.

Another D3 moderate risk. April has been quiet after a wild March. Hopefully May gets active and that translates this way late May and June

Hopefully some action that’s close enough to chase this season. Already starting to think about another Midwest trip next year.

Going to be some violence Monday. Might not see widespread severe weather but going to see multiple discrete tornadic supercells...pretty classic environment for those. The lack of widespread will enhance the potential

Yeah that part was a little off on here. So wrong on that. Will probably end around 1”.. but nothing like the 2-4” amounts being thrown around here

Nice to get a week’s worth of water down on a Saturday.  Thats a win against Stein.

Who was throwing around 2 to 4.  It's been 1 to 2 and it looks like that's what it will be. Congrats on the dry weather today.. are you having a cookout during the dry periods?

I’m sorry I call bullshit. If this was an example of morning showers, 8 hours of dry, then evening showers, then sure. But that’s not what this is. Some areas are getting several hours of rain, a short break, and then more rain. Maybe some are getting a slightly longer break than others.

Almost no one is saying “I should have had that BBQ today, it stopped raining for an hour.” It’s not a total washout but an inch to an inch and a half of rain over a 24 hour stretch with a few short breaks in between - no normal person is calling today being forecasted as a “rainy day” a bust. My son is 9 and he called it a rainy day when discussing going outside. A 9 year old…
