Just doesn’t get better than this for Napril 5th. I’m sure Tony and Ineedsnow are out in it enjoying the puddles

Went for a walk earlier when it was dry.  This bird was standing on the shore but flew away as I was taking out my camera.. must have been over 3 feet..  Blue Heron?looks smaller flying obviously but was huge.. also saw a beastly turkey

Yes…blue Heron, and that’s a nice Tom for sure. He was strutting.

Guess it was bird day today…saw a massive Bald Eagle sitting on a branch watching for fish as I drove by the Quinnipiac River in town here..came back by 90 minutes later he was still there.  What a specimen.

next weekend ruined also?  wow

Can't remember ....was it 2 or more 3 years ago, either every Sat. or Sunday it rained? Maybe it was summer months? I just kept dumping money in pool chems and watching my public service meter spinning like a top lol.

That was definitely a blue heron. And that's a male turkey doing his breeding dance. We've had some that do their typical pattern walkthrough, our backyard, and the males like to fluff their feathers and do this funky dance to attract the females.
