Blowing upper 20s sustained with gusts

Wind was insane when that thunderstorm rolled through. Sustained wind of 45 for several minutes. .03 rain. Heard several fire sirens going off after the storm. Yard is littered with small branches and sticks from the wind.

I couldn’t believe how windy it was walking around Harrisburg during lunch. Ripping off the river.

52 mph winds here now. I bet @Mount Joy Snowman is fighting to walk to the train. 
 

We also got zero measurable precip.

I don’t knew what these winds are but it just blew over a tractor trailer in Harrisburg. My gauge apparently broke but this sounds like 60+.

That was easy 60+. Last time I saw winds like that was hurricane Isabel

Has tiny hail for like 5 seconds too in that crazy wind event.

Another little weak light rain shower is mixing down 45+ winds. The overhead instability is pretty wild.

Indeed, although at least the afternoon walk to the train station was more of a tail wind. Lapse rates were intense today. Don’t have to go up very high to reach those frigid temps.
